Kensington on the Park was completed in 1998 and is one of the most sought-after condominium buildings in Calgary, and (in our opinion) is also one of the most attractive. This 64,000 square foot, four storey wood frame structure features 28 townhouse and apartment style units and 15,600 square feet of underground parking. The majority of the units are owner- occupied.
There are underground parking facilities and storage lockers for owners, and above-ground parking facilities for visitors (refer to Parking in this package).
About our neighbourhood
Kensington on the Park is located in the community of Hillhurst-Sunnyside in Calgary’s inner city, near the Bow River, right beside Riley Park and a short easy walk to excellent restaurants and shopping in Kensington, as well as to the Sunnyside C-train station. Many residents walk downtown to work, using the city bike/walking paths.
Historic Riley Park lies just to the north of Kensington on the Park. Riley Park was once part of the 146,000 hectare Cochrane Ranch. Land for the park was donated to the city in 1909. The park is home to the Calgary Cricket League and in addition to several cricket pitches, contains a large wading pool, a children’s playground, many annual and perennial garden beds, and the Senator Patrick Burns memorial garden. There are both public and separate schools in the area. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a short walk away and the University of Calgary is just a few stops via the C-train. Hillhurst-Sunnyside is one of the older communities in Calgary. For more information see: https://hsca.ca/
