Please be advised that the Kensington on the Park is undertaking a major modernization of the elevator at the property this year. Work is planned to commence on July 7th and is estimated to take 6 weeks to complete. During this period the elevator will be fully out of service and not available for use.
We know the elevator outage will be a huge disruption for some, and an inconvenience for everyone at KOP. This is necessary work, done to keep the elevator safe and reliable.
We are working hard with our contractor and our elevator consultant to minimize the out of service time. We have also started identifying options for minimizing the disruption during the elevator shut down, such as KOP residents using Visitor Parking for loading and unloading vehicles.
We will keep owners and residents informed if anything in the schedule shifts, and we will be communicating ideas for minimizing the disruption as the construction dates get closer.
